In the Winter of 2006, Brian Wolters met with Priscilla Morris to discuss forming a community theatre in Cabot. After several meetings, they decided to produce the music Smoke on the Mountain with Funtastic. It was such a large hit that they did an encore of it the following year.

Cabot Community Theater was formed on April 8th, 2008 after a two year trial run.

At the April 8th 2008 meeting, the official By-Laws were presented, Trustee's elected and a motion was made to proceed with non-profit status.
